Due to Covid19 we have suspended all drop in classes. There is no way to maintain a limited number of students with drop in classes. When this changes we will post that change here.

    Wednesday Mornings – 10:20 am - 11:20 am 

    Special Notice:  The first session will be from 11:45 am  to 12:45 pm on Nov. 4 so that we can fit 6 weeks in.  All other sessions will be at 10:20.  There will be no class on Nov 25, the day before Thanksgiving.

    Prerequisite: Dogs must be 5 months of age or older.

    Description: This class includes the introduction of basic commands, the practical use of commands, understanding your dog and resolving problem behaviors. Emphasis is on applying what is learned to real life so that you have a well–behaved pet that you can enjoy.

    Description: This class works on improving the dog’s response to commands, moving the dog and handler to the next level of skill and understanding. Off lead work is introduced for dogs that are ready. This is a structured class that builds teamwork between the dog and the handler. This class follows Beginning but it is also an excellent class for the dog and handler that have been away from training and need to brush up on their skills.

    This builds teamwork between the dog and the handler. This class follows Beginning and increases the skills. It is also an excellent class for the dog and handler that have been away from training and need to brush up on their skills. This class also helps to prepare the handler and dog for Canine Good Citizenship testing.

    Prerequisite: Intermediate class or equivalent

    Description: This class is offered for owners who want to expand their dogs’ skills. Class content is adjusted to match the skill level of the class registrants. This class will provide skills for working towards a CGC certificate or competing in Agility, Rally or Obedience, as well as providing real-life skills that make your dog a joy to have in public. Skills may include fine tuning heeling, increased attention with distractions, hand/voice signals from a distance, recalls and more.

    Description: Class content includes: confidence building, leash manners, introduction to basic commands and answers to basic puppy questions. Puppies learn how to behave in the presence of other dogs. Puppy class does not include "puppy playtime". A puppy information booklet is included in the price of the class.

    Levels: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Performer

    Teach your dog the tricks needed to earn the AKC titles Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Performer.  Your dog will have fun and gain confidence building new skills.  If your dog has a Canine Good Citizen title or certificate, then only five tricks are needed to earn a Novice Trick Dog title.

    Duration 8 Weeks: January 6, 2021 through February 24, 2021

    Prerequisite: Intro to Agility or equivalent. Dogs must be under control off leash with other dogs in a class with lots of diverse activity. 

    Description: This class is for dogs that have already been introduced to all of the basic agility equipment.  It will include basic sequencing between obstacles and practice the skills that are used to navigate an agility course.  Class will also include basic obedience skills associated with the necessary control required in Agility. 

    All participants will be required to help with set up and knock down of the agility obstacles as some require more than one person to set up.

    Duration 8 Weeks: January 6, 2021 through February 24, 2021

    Prerequisite:

    Beginning class or equivalent. Dogs must be under control with other dogs in a class with lots of diverse activity.

    Description: This class will introduce the basic obstacles found in Agility: A-frame, dog walk, jumps, pause table, tire jump and the teeter-totter.  It will include some basic sequencing between obstacles as the dogs progress.  Class will also include basic obedience skills associated with the necessary control required in Agility.

    Duration 8 Weeks: January 7, 2021 through February 25, 2021

    Description:  Help your dog celebrate the joy of sniffing with Novice Scent Work.  Class content will include teaching the dog to recognize a specific scent and work with cardboard boxes; treats and praise can be used to reinforce the learning process.  Dogs will need a fitted collar (martingales allowed) or harness and a leash of plain pliable material.

    Handler will need to bring a chair and crate for the dog.

    Description: This class includes the introduction of basic commands, the practical use of commands, understanding your dog and resolving problem behaviors. Emphasis is on applying what is learned to real life so that you have a well–behaved pet that you can enjoy.
