During the COVID-19 pandemic the Obedience Show Prep Class will be limited to 4 socially distanced humans + the instructor in the building at any one time.

The Obedience Show Prep Class provides an obedience trial set up with the instructor acting as judge.  Dog and handler teams will run through the exercises offered at obedience trials. Participants must contact the instructor via email or snail mail to reserve one or more 15-minute time slots. The time can be used for any level of obedience and/or for problem solving specific exercises.   Group sits and downs will take place at 11:30 a.m.  Freestyle time slots will follow obedience time slots.

Price: $14/run through for non-members,  $12/run through for members, or a card punch.  Getting the most for your dollars:  You are welcome to train outside the ring area before and after your run through.  You and your dog can simulate real show conditions and provide a helpful distraction for the dog in the ring.

How to reserve a time:  By Wednesday before the class, send your non-refundable check (payable to CWDTC) to Laurie Rubin, P.O. Box 967, Sebastopol, CA 95473 or email Laurie (ObedienceShowPrep@county-widedtc.org) saying that you wish to pay by card punch. When mailing a check you must also email Laurie with your time preference.  Let her know your dog's name, which level class (novice, utility...) and jump height (if applicable).

A spot will be reserved for you.  You can request a certain time, but be aware that we might  not be able to put you in that exact time slot. You will be sent an email with your reserved time.  Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.  If you are not in the building at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time, your time slot may be given to someone else who is ready.  Late arrivals will be worked in as soon as conveniently possible.

A few days before the class,  the schedule will be e-mailed to those who've reserved a slot.  No day-of-class drop-ins during the COVID pandemic.
